Steering wheel, gear stick, seats, so on and so on.
But randomly not red stitched on the handbrake.
then just for insult… a seat arona did have one.
OCD failure.

No idea - It’s been asked before and I don’t think anyone could come up with a plausible answer.
The handbrake on my 2016 previous generation 6c Polo GTI had red stitching.

So what if I told you the Polo AW metal handbrake lever is exactly the same as the one on the Seat Arona and Ibiza, 2Q0711303B.
And the part number of the Arona/Ibiza red stitched lever is 6F0711503D VCI
https://www.oemvwshop.com/6f0711503d-vc ... -p1505050/
Remember to always double check pictures and part numbers before ordering, etc etc.

Then it looks like the next question is, how easy is it to change the handbrake cover on a polo gti aw? Lol

Aha okay. Is there like a little clip underneath and then pulls up? Any little vids anywhere?

yep just pull the lever all the way up and you'll see the retaining 'flap' with a barbed hook on it. pull that down with a little flat head screwdriver and pull it off, firmly.

Not even got the car yet and I've got one to swap over when it arrives.
I got it in the UK though as the shipping etc. Was a bit much on that other source.
Not checked the fit yet but it looks as per the photos in here

I recently came across this thread and noticed the same lack of red stitching on my 2023 facelift Polo GTI.
I purchased the required part as mentioned above and all looks great, but I cannot seem to remove the old handbrake cover from the car.
I have tried to very firmly pull the old one off with the barbed hook pulled out but it does not seem to be budging. Is there anything else I am missing to be able to remove the old cover?

Have you taken the button off? Can’t remember if you needed to do that or not.
Was a hefty yank tbf.
