2014 BlueGT EPC Problems (P0010)

Post by Rowan324 »

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has come across any problems regarding their EPC light. I have a 2014 BlueGT 1.4. I recently performed a service with no lights on the dash. I drove the car and as I accelerated onto a main road my EPC light flashed for a split second.

I drove home and parked it up. I then got my OBD-II reader to see if there were any codes and upon turning my engine on I had an EPC Light and an Engine warning light and a P0010 code stating: Camshaft Position Actuator Open Circuit Bank 1

Areas I have already done:
  • Changed Camshaft Sensor
  • Changed Connector to Camshaft Actuator (VVT)
I do not have an engine warning light anymore but I am still getting the same code with the same EPC light.

Any advice or any help that could steer me in the right direction - I am aware that an OBD-II is not great for these codes and I do need a VCDS but I am skeptical about driving my car with the EPC light after some research online suggesting that the timing could have jumped.

Thanks,
Rowan

Check the wiring between Ecu and the sensor.
