Turbo noise on different Polo’s

Hi,
We have two Polos, same model/engine same year (72 plates) etc but the noise the turbo makes is different.
One of the cars is really quiet whereas the other you can really hear the turbo ‘whoosh’ as it is winding up which then disappears as you reach a certain rpm.
They both perform the same so it is puzzling me why one would be louder?!
