Siri says ‘theres a problem’ when using carplay

Only happens when siri had read a message then ask ‘would you like to respond’
I say ‘yes’
Then siri just says error this or cant do that right now and so on.
Tried resetting phone etc.
Do the vw main dealer apply software updates if you drive to a dealership?
Is there a soft reset that loses absolutley no settings on the stereo etc?

Both our polos do this at the moment but a software update came today. I’ll have to try again when next in the car, but it only seems to impact WhatsApp over CarPlay. Normal iMessage works fine.

No a VW over the air update when I was driving about yesterday, but there’s an iOS 16.4 appeared as well last night on my phone. I’ll find out tomorrow when I’m using the car again.

What year is your polo? Do the 2019 models do the over the air update? I’ve never seen / notice this happen.

Facelift (BZ) model Polos get OTA software updates. A 2019 pre-facelift AW model Polo wouldn’t (my 2020 Polo GTI+ doesn’t).

Okay so I won’t get OTA updates.
How does one go about updating the stereo on a 2019 model then?
Mine also loses the time every now and again aswell.

Probably a dealer update. They’ll be able to check if there are any software updates for the infotainment units in the AW model Polo; if there are and if yours doesn’t have the latest version, they should be able to apply the update. I have no idea if it’ll be done for free or if there’ll be a charge - probably the latter

Updated to latest IOS but same issue eith trying to reply to someone on whatsapp.
Worked fine two weeks ago…

I’ve updated to the latest iOS and updated the car OTA and WhatsApp still won’t reply. iMessage is perfectly fine though.

Tried in a friends bmw yesterday and same thing with whatsapp. Obviously a whatsapp problem!
