We handed back our GTI in March after a 3 month extension, optimistically hoping for delivery of replacement R model 6 weeks after Build week 6.
No such luck.
Today I called dealer and was told that it’s still sitting at Emden. Just as it was at the end of March.
Any hint of excitement / enthusiasm has evaporated.
Dealer suggested “it is expected this month”
I’ll not call them again.
Disappointing delivery time

Re: Disappointing delivery time
My Lucky Lady received an eMail from dealer this morning - new Polo can be collected tomorrow.
So 12 noon pick up.
She’s looking forward to it after a month without her own car.
Though she has learned to drive mine.

Re: Disappointing delivery time
Come and get it the man said.
I’d provided the short number plates to be stuck on.
They gave the job to the village idiot so we arrived to find the front short plate stuck on the (factory fitted) monstrous black plastic backing plate.
No one thought - “Mmm this might not look good - but we’ll stick it on anyway”.
I was not pleased - that they hadn’t called to discuss options.
Twats.
So I sorted it I myself when I got home.
It’s easy. When you know how. And dealer clearly doesn’t.
Collecting a new car is as exciting as shopping at Tesco.
But we do like our Violent Violet Polo.
