225bhp audi into a polo gti?

hi all,
i met up with the boss of cossvaux yesterday to bounce some ideas aroun d for the 1.8t swap and he suggested a non tuned 225 audi s3 unit would fit nicely,does anyone know if this has been done before?

someone claimed to have done it but there was never any proof as far as i know. sounds expensive though. what bout a tuned s3 engine?

Only VW are knocking on 290bhp in a Polo at the moment (sorry I cant remember website)
I checked how much it would cost for a similar build and they said they start from £4k.

that'd be ace! It'd be pretty much up at the limit of what the car can handle though surely? The Focus RS has about that much and has a front diff to manage it...
As for 290bhp
I've seen a Polo van spaceframe with a hooge engine stuffed under the hood, but like PoloGTi, can't remember for the life of me where I saw it!

15" wolfrace polished deep dish wheels
km racing coil over susp
mk4 golf rear calipers
vr6 calipers, g60 front discs on 1.6 16v polo hubs
engine is 1.8 turbo with 290 bhp
g60 gearbox
blitz dump valve
