Since I’ve owned the car, during heavy rain the car alarm goes off. I’ve had it go off 4 times since owning it due to rain, not sure if there’s thunder causing it because I am not at home when the notification comes through. My family text me today saying it was going off in the rain.
Any ideas if this can be adjusted via infotainment?
Is there a way to turn alarm sensitivity down?

Re: Is there a way to turn alarm sensitivity down?
My experience with my 2022 Polo GTI, is that heavy rain and or high winds can set the interior motion sensor off.
The dealer said to try shutting the side air vents, as in his opinion, this was one of the main causes (IE. wind blowing in via them). Whether this is BS or not, not sure
Failing that, disable via the Infotainment system or two blips with the remote.
Though from a security perspective, not an ideal solution.
Luckily my car is garaged over night, so at least no issue then.
VERY annoying when it does go off though

mine does it as well in heavy rain, it's not great really is it, and should not happen. Now i just disable on infotainment if looks like bad weather. I should not have to do this, so am thinking about if it could be a warranty claim.
