exhaust nuts on mnanifold

Hi All
just replaced my sons 2002 front exhaust pipe and little bit of heat with heat gun you use for stripping paint
off the 3x nuts came ,21 years old and off the manifold nuts came
easiest exhaust I have ever done
would not happen like that in a modern car
