likelihood of Polo 1.0 TSi Cat converter theft?

Hi all
Cat theft (not the feline version) is often in the news and we have had thefts on our small 'quiet' estate emblazoned with Ring security devices everywhere. (I know they are not that bothered and are usually accompanied by baseball wielding thugs.... but)
I just looked at a typical cat system for my particular model Polo and the cat seems to be situated just after the exhaust manifold (inches) and then the exhaust pipe continues downward before traversing down the underside of the car. Seems a lot more protected there than many other vehicles whose are on plain display between the front and rear wheels.
I's have thought access would be difficult even with the bonnet up!
Anyone here had one nicked?
