hi, when im going round corners and the car hits bumps in the road it feels like its crabbing. the back bouces a bit and moves out. the car doesnt feel like its losing grip, it just feels a bit weird to me.
its lowered, wasnt sure if the shocks were knackered or some bushes have gone?
any help greatly appreciated
thanks

sounds to me like theres no travel in your shocks because there not absorbing the roll when you take a corner

The rear of my car used to bounce out a bit on bumpy roads, on lowering it yesterday we realised why...rear springs had snapped! same had happened to pettsy's too.
but as you have lowering spings already i doubt that will be your problem..If your using original shocks maybe theyre knackered.

Give the car a bounce test. If the rear end bounces up past its normal resting position, its the shocks thats knackered. The same used to happen to me on roundabouts.

done the bounce test, seems as though it is bouncing a bit high, theres no clunking coming from anywhere, so it must be the rear shocks, i will look at buying some koni dampers or g-max.
any other ideas on why it is; tyre pressures etc?
its weird feels like the back end has separate steering in a way!!

It might just be a case of taking for a free suspension check at a garage that does it. Check for leaking and make sure the springs are seated right. Anything other than that i leave to the experts.

the car has been hpi checked just before i bought it, was all clear. the car drives perfectly on the smooth goes in a straight line, its jus the bumps on corners, it has to be the shocks, get a nice set of g-max or koni's!!
its a good excuse to!!

as the car is already lowered, il just use those springs provided there ok with some spax dampers, which are quite reasonable part no. SPX-N2113-1 £44.99. not sure if that for a pair or for single dampers.

bilstein gas pressure rear dampers £17.99 from euro car parts, there goin straight on and i got a dubweiser strut brace to try out as well.
shocks are gone at the minute, back left bottoms out over bumps
