The car has good equipment, although it lacks several things. Some of these will be my next efforts in the world of retrofit.
For example, Light Assist, Traffic Sighs Recognition and of course interior lighting (color ambient lights).
For sure i will need help to those attempts.
For now, some time off and some studying for future plugins.

I wonder if i can activate some features on my car.
Using the infotainment there is a section that someone can buy "accessories" or can activate functions

I can activate for a month for free, then i have to pay (i think 169euros) to have it for ever.

So, there is no luck of hardware, only the correct coding is missing.

You are absolutely right. Everything has it's cost. And time is money.
I am not willing to break codes and thus acquire extra features on my car (it's also through leasing).
What I'm thinking is that if it's purely a matter of coding and adaptation, which I can do as well, the only thing left is to know what needs to change.
My thinking is to do the following: A full write-up of the coding and configuration before the change - adding a feature (which is free for a month). Then, again a complete recording of all of them so that I can see what changes have been made. If it is only a matter of coding and adaptation, I will be able to do it later with ODIS, VAGCOM or even ODBeleven.

Yes this is something I do in my free time (when I have free time)
So far I have seen that the coding is already there, the adaptations as well. But something is missing. The "code word", so my first conclusion is that there is an FEC code or something, and that is something one has to buy from the dealer.

Entry lights front doors [Retrofit]

Front doors do not have entry lighting in my car's trim level. In the places of the lights there are plastic covers, one with a reflector.
The installation and programming process is relatively simple.





Includes door trim removal, 2 Pin wiring to door connector.




After removing the door trim we make the wire connections.





Put everything back in place.

Time for coding.

Driver's Door
1.- We go to CONTROL UNIT 42 Electronic driver's door
2.- Extended Encoding (Byte Mode)
3.- In Byte 1 activate bit 2
4.- we confirm

Passenger’s Door
1.- CONTROL UNIT 52 Electronic passenger doors

This is the final result.



On the rear doors, there is no provision for such lighting.
So if someone wants to do something similar, he has to open holes for the lights and find a way to properly connect them.

The ambient lighting, especially on the dashboard and doors is something that excites me. The idea of retrofitting the OEM lighting is prohibitive, another BCM is needed, several spare parts (dashboard linings, change in door linings, etc.). Also, the car is leased, so I can't do much.

I actually have one already in my hands. I really like its lighting performance. Stable and uniform lighting with many colors as a selection from the mobile phone via bluetooth.
The installation, at least for the front part (dashboard), seems to me to be easy, the plastics come out easily without special tools. On the doors, the installation will probably be more difficult as there is almost no space to place the thin lighting strip. It will need to be converted but I think I will be able to do it.
This kind of kit only needs a simple 12v power supply, but I'm wondering where to get power supplies from. I want it to work when the lights are on, that's the most correct.
