Hi, I just purchased a 2012 VW Polo Automatic 1.4L with around 100,000 miles. I have been having recent troubles with getting the car to move off sometimes. When I turn on the engine and select a gear, the accelerator pedal seems to be completely unresponsive. This happens in both reverse and drive. The brake pedal feels stiff and the car just begins to roll if it’s on a hill/slant. I am able to fix this by turning the engine off and opening and closing my door, and restarting the engine. Please can you let me know why this is happening and how I can fix it. Thanks.
