bulb in heater controls

hiya guys n gals..does anyone know how i change the bulb in the heater controls as mine aint working.

Yeah.

You have to go to VW and get the bulb, as GSF or EP don't stock it. It's only a few quid, but still, I guess that's expensive for a damn bulb!

Once you have the new bulb, you need to remove the front pannel, then the ash tray unit. Once these are off, you need to remove the clear pannel to disconnect the old bulb and replace with the new one.

I can't remember the exact procedure, but the Haynes explains most of it.

or u could get a bulb from a scrappy and pray it works like i did! (it worked by the way)

right little sod to get out!

its quite tricky to get out if u dont know what ur doing..the bulb is kinda wierd too.
ordered one from the stealers £4:03 picking it up 2mozz..all that time ive had the car i never noticed the heater was in the dark.

Same with me. I never noticed until it was very cold one day and I couldn't see whether the blower was fully on hot and then it clicked :idea:

Must be a common one to blow.
