2015 polo 1.2 se design tsi - infotainment system

Hi there
Can anybody help. My husband has vw golf 2019 that has android auto on his system. Mine is older with no navigation system but would like to add Android Auto as it would be very useful. Can the system be updated? If so, how? Thank you.

You can buy an MIB unit which has carplay activated then just swap your unit out.
What is your current unit? Does it have 2 SD card slots or 1?

Polos really only got CarPlay/ android auto from 2016 onwards , being an older car and without details of your 5F unit it’s near impossible to tell you if adding CarPlay would be possible.
Using the search function on here for CarPlay will bring you to a long thread dedicated to these issues

I've retrofitted apple carplay on x2 2014 Polo 6c's before. Their stock unit may not be able to, but I believe the Polo 6R had an RCD 330 retrofit possible then the Polo 6C has an MIB unit swap possible.
