Bonnet to wing gaps adjustment ?

Post by Polo72 »

Hi everyone

How can I go about adjusting this ? The drivers side wing has a lot bigger gap than the passengers side. I’ve had the car over 1 year can’t say I’ve noticed it before. It has just been into to vw for a new radiator but I can’t see why this would have affected the bonnet.

Hi

I think there are microadjustments you make but if it had changed since vw touched it i would take it to them and say the alignment is off.

Radiator means the bumper must of been removed. Ever since i had a upgraded front mount intercooler by bonnet to grill gap has been wrong so assume touching the bumper messes it up.

Unfortunately I can’t prove if it was like this before vw touched it or not. I popped into the dealership today and they point blank said nah we won’t have done that we havnt touched the bonnet. I mean it’s my word against there’s. Guess I’ll have to sort it my self somehow.

Very strange though how you have had similar. I can’t see why taking the bumper off would affect the bonnet.
