How can I remove it on my 19.TDi?

Sorry wish I could help, but I've got a 1.4 petrol and I can't even see my bloody air box!

It may be a guess but pull the plastic cover off the top of the engine and it should be hidden underneath there, screwed in. At least thats where it is on the FSI & 1.2

Yeah just pull on the engine cover, carefully obviously.

I highliy doubt I will attempt that. Seems odd just to pull it off. Me too scared to break anything there.

it's simple... just pull it on.. but remember you have to detach the small tube on the right side of the engine cover.. unscrew all screws (11 screws, if i'm correct), and u will see your air filter...
that's very easy.... give it a try

So...
- Removing screws.
- Remove small tube.
- Pull it off theN?

the procedure is...
1. remove the tube
2. pull off the cover (air box)
3. turn cover upside down
4. unscrew
5. open the air box (cover)
6. There you go.. the Air filter
