Audi S1 AWD system is now on my polo sedan. NOT bolt-on, need a lot of modifications, but everything is possible

Back between 2007 and 2011 I purchased parts of a syncro system from Rallye Golf and Passat. Got the gearbox and transfer case from the passat, the propshaft and rear differential and swing arms from the Rallye. They were going onto my 1995 mk1 Golf along with a 9A engine. The gearbox arrived, but the rest was in a container in Germany. Had to ditch it all there due to kid's health/wellness issue.

The told syncro was a few cuts and right bolt on to the mk1.

I've seen a number of mk1 Golfs get AWD from the TT in the last few years. Odd to think I might've had the 1st one down here if it completed.

The modern platforms seem to have more option for swaps like this.

Before you posted this thread, I was taking a look at your D2 thread over the Christmas break, I'm going to test out some interesting stuff I saw you shared, I'll post my observations on my thread (here) in case of any news due to the use of different parts than you use on your POLO.
