Please read item description.

What do you think? Do you have any experience with this item?
Please feel free to post your opinion or any information you have about it. Your opinion is very important to improve any circumstances that are favorable to the users of this forum (troubleshooting, purchases, shipping methods, etc.).

In my opinion what is related to the functions and especially to the development of the SW by the engineers is the most interesting. OTA FREE updates.📶📱
I also think it is interesting because this would solve the problems related to the easy deterioration of the plastic screen and the dust that gets into the dials area in the Original/Genuine/Authentic instrument panels.🤭

Interesting that is says 6R up to 2016. Isn't 6C from 2014-. Wonder if it'd work on the 6C, but the wiring is different compared to 6R I think. Or they just covering the continued 6R production in China and for things like the Vivo?

Not sure on the "fast boot time" for the linux system, but if it's linux I'm sure you can get in there and do plenty of tweaks/hacks.

Definitely subscribing here to see where this goes.

6R PQ25 and its extended family range from 2009 to "2022", for Europe 2009 to 2014, it depends on where the different models are sold (with different names). Russia, India, China, Malaysia, South Africa, Australia, Mexico, etc...

I don't know if these manufacturers have something similar for the 6C, but I've seen videos on YouTube that have these screens adapted for the Golf 6, 7 and other VW group models with the same technology, so it's likely that they could manufacture them for the 6C, the structure is already there, it's a matter of asking the manufacturers/engineers.
In the link to the sale in the first post you can download a PDF that contains links to the YouTube videos (manual user).

My god, what a project!
It definitely has my attention. If anyone can succeed in installing this dashboard, it's definitely you and a few others here.
I saw all the photos and a few of the videos from the links that the dpf file had.
From what it looks like, the original dashboard board is used and the LCD screen is added on top of it. I think it's a good solution to avoid any setups and adjustments of new hardware in the car, etc.
The positive thing is that the operating system is Linux. It's usually faster and simpler than android.

Fernando, go for it.

In this case symbiosis ( Venom ) is better than parasitism (+ve, -ve). 😁

At first glance, and because some 6R PQ25 have extra OEM equipment (HBA, BSD, RTA, TPMS, etc... ✌) which is not standard equipment, I think (logically I'm not sure) that to make 'everything' compatible, some improvements would have to be made to the SW by contacting the developers/engineers so they can capture/trap/catch the appropriate protocols.
Also due to some YouTube videos, the language translations need to be improved. Spanish for example.

For now I think it's better to share opinions. 👍
This screen looks very good, it's almost a copy of the original AID of our Golf 7.5, which in my opinion is great. 8)

It looks really good, so I really need to have it. On the other hand, it's not OEM so I probably don't want to have it.

I guess it would be necessary for someone from the usual staff (around the world) ...

- with all those great OEM equipments that we have installed in the 6R throughout these years.
- with the will to test and help develop the SW of these screens.
- with some technical knowledge and some financial solvency.

... be willing to test them for at least a few months to give an objective verdict or opinion for these screens installed in the 6R.

I see that for other similar screens/displays in other VW models there are opinions for all tastes.

🤔
I still have the original instrument panel from my 6R Rline, the one that had no dials for temperature and fuel quantity needles and a very low/ridiculous/stupid MFD... (the beginning of the disaster).

If it accepts some improvements in SW/EEPROM due to the current equipment of my 6R, perhaps in the not immediate future I will decide to do this 'Test'/project.

It looks great. I wouldn't have to struggle with changing the front cover of my instrument cluster to refresh it a little :)
I'm also curious about some review

Me too.

How many Chinese with 6R will there be in the world? (no laughing at my question allowed)

That's why I found it strange that there are no reviews with photos or videos of what this screen looks like already installed in a 6R, ... or at least I'm not able to find them.
Perhaps this screen for 6R is still a novelty.🤷‍♂️

Yeap, it looks the version for 6R is new.
BTW I found a nice video about similar digital cockpit to VW CC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiMK8paON2M
it use the electronic board with factory immobilizer etc., only the display and front housing are changed.

Here is video with Polo 6R instrument cluster: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp2vKNAAnE4

In this other video, it's not even necessary to disassemble the needles.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e112fAmGZr0
You won't see the original needles, but you know they're there doing their job. :)

By the way, after seeing many of these jobs, some of them are a bit creepy. You should never touch the dials with your bare fingers, because in case you don't like the new screen and want to go back to your original instrument panel, you'll see fingerprints on the dials that are impossible to clean without damaging the dials. For the same reason, to remove the needles, you should never rest the needle removal tool on the dials for leverage.
It's best to use magician's gloves and rest the parts of the original instrument panel on cloths or soft surfaces.

It seems to me that you even for simple things, require more sterility than during a hospital operation

BTW, it's enough to have spare instrument clusters
