ARC in Skoda Favorit - ECU help needed!

Hi all

I'm hoping we may have some knowledgeable people on this forum that can help me with an issue on my Favorit which is fitted with an ARC engine.

I was trying to fix the heater blower and I removed the battery to give me some more room, however in doing so I think I dislodged this yellow wire Image

And I have no idea what it is or where it should go.

My symptom now is that car starts, runs for 1 second then immediately dies.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here? Or has anyone got some information on the 6-way connector going from the ECU to the cabin?

My instinct is telling me that ECU is looking for an "I am running" signal from the engine but not getting one. So it starts fine but then immediately dies.

Please help!!!

Thank you Maarten

The dashboard is the original Skoda dashboard so no car with key symbol.

I believe the car has the immobiliser from a Polo GTI but it has been bypassed, or possibly the key chip and reader are permanently next to each other.

The standard Skoda key used to start the car is purely mechanical, no immobiliser function.

I saw a video yesterday suggesting to reset immobiliser by removing +ve and -ve terminals and touching them together. Is this a known solution to immobiliser problems?
