Wastegate actuator Help

Hello guys,

Rant: Once again i am here to ask for help, for those who can remember i had several problems with the car the last 4 years (intake airloss etc)

After 4 months of happiness (after changing starter motor) the problem of intake airloss returned to remind me how much i love to hate this car.

Went to a shop and soda blasted the 4 cylinders , absolutely bonkers work on them, so clean !

But the problem persisted, so i have come to conclusion (my own conclusion of course) that i have to change my wastegate actuator.

I have seen in youtube videos that the wastegate can be changed alone (without changing the turbo) .

Question: My wastegate's part number is 03F 145 725 G manufactured in 05/05/2010 , it was among the ones what got recalled and had to put that shim on them .

Now when i google the part number, mine shows a photo with 11.5 length rod BUT there is another one with 10 lenght rod.
Supposedly the shim was installed to shorten the lenght of the rod .
So, am i supposed to buy the 10 lenght rod or the 11.5 .

That is what i wanna ask , if someone has any information from vw etc.

03F 198 725 C is the part number of the repair kit. not sure about the 11.5/10 thing though.

Thank you iichel , i thought this part number is only suitable for vehicles manufactured after 2011 ?
Mine is manufactured in 2010.
Honestly it is so confusing, no wonder the tsi's made in 2010 were such a mess regarding the turbo.

I took it from the catalogue for model year 2010 (08/2009 to 08-2010) you can PM me your VIN and I'll check again to be certain.
another option would be to contact your VW dealership and have them get you the correct number via ETKA.
