EPC and Engine light on, need advice

I am suddenly having issues and need few advice here, before going to local shop because I do not trust them!
Polo GTI 2019, about 80 000 km. While on drive out of town started to do a little "hiccup".
5 minutes after that started to lose power and engine became jittery and it went in "limp mode"
One opinion was carbon build up in engine.
Issue is here near me locally they can not fix/open it and I will have to get it transported 300 km away to eventually have a look at it.
Any advice will be much appreciated!
Thank you all in advance!

Most likely and cheapest would be ignition coils or spark plugs.
You could swap the ignition coil yourself and see if the error code follows.

spark plugs were changed at about 50 000 km by VW service for warranty to continue, so I guess I will try ignition coils!

I suspect it could be carbon build up on the valves, it happens to me every 50000KM or so, usually due to poor fuel quality I am told. Mine have been cleaned twice now and am expecting the next one soon since I am on 133 000 KM's.

How did you clean it up - by machine or by opening up the engine to do manual labor. Also if it is manual labor what will you suggest - a certified VW shop or any other mechanic could do this. I am really a lamer on mechanical issues and I do not trust car shop in my country!
Thank you in advance!

My VW dealer takes care of it, the vehicle has a maintenance plan to 300 000KM. I'm sure YouTube will be one of the sources to check out regarding how to clean the valves.
