dashboard exchange or MFA

Hi! I have a 1.4 100bhp Polo. I have it with a lot of extras, also with the MultiFunction Display (MFA), but the "small" version, using the clock screen.
Any one kows if it is possible to exchange the entire dashboard with the "big" one that has the full screen between the revs and speed counters? I mean if the VW dealer can do this for me. I think it should be possible becouse the "big" screen doesn't show any more information than the "small" one. Also, in the owner's manual they present the "big" screen as an option, not necessary attached to the navigation system.

I asked the dealer but the person I asked didn't knew if it is possible :(

Any ideas? Thanks a lot! :D

oh! I mean this screen:

If you can do it, make sure you get the right one, the rev counter only goes up to 50 on there. Which engine is that for?

Oh, plus you get the chrome dials!

I think it is the TDi dashboard, or almost a Diesel engine. My rev counter goes up to 7000 :D

We have already discussed this in an earlier topic but here is some information that I previously found out. These are obviously UK prices but they may well be cheaper for you.
OK, Just had a word with VDUB about the chrome dial rings. They don't do them seperately you need an entire dash console.

With the new console you get the chrome rings for speedo and rev counter plus your fuel computer and outside temperature gauge on the red digital display in the middle of your dashboard where the navigation display would be.

Problem is it costs £127 plus a £100 surcharge for your old unit, normally they send these back and get a refund but in this case they'll charge you a hundred quid because there is nothing wrong with it. You also need to add on fitting. Polo2k if you could find out about retrofits I'd be interested.

I'm not paying £227 plus fitting

Well you're the first person on this forum with chrome dial surrounds. What options did you specify when orderring your car?

I didn't specify anything special. I think all polos in spain have chrome dials... the next time i'll go to my dealer i'll ask about it and let you know what they tell me, ok?

Don't know how useful this is to you guys but in Brazil only the Polo Sedan has chrome dials.

Maybe this part is cheaper here (with the exchange rate and all), I'll check with VW.

Cheers,
