Hey,
I have a 97 1.4 16v polo It has 15" alloys with low profiles
and a low stainless rear box

I want to lower it BUT:

I dont want a "hard ride" ...its a family car and the missus would give me grief!!!
And i dont want exhaust to rub on them fecking speed humps! :x
Shall i just put on lowering springs
or change shocks too
...or shall i just leave it as it is!!!

any advice???

Get fully adjustable coilovers that way you can adjust the ride height and the harshness of the ride.

Springs + shocks would yield the best ride, as opposed to just springs. Coilovers are good, but if they're set high, they're more harsh than if they're set low. So that won't do.

The best alternative: Air ride. It'll cost you, but it will satisfy all your wishes.

suspention!

Hmm I thought about that for ages and then understood - makes sense now

I want airbags on mine, but they would be worth more than the car and drive put 2gether.
