Hi all,
Anyone know the correct torque settings for the wheelnuts on a GTi? Unless I'm being blind the handy manual omits this info....
Cheers,

Whatever you do, don't over tighten them as they bolts can snap on the GTI and if you tighten them too much, especially the older locking wheel bolts. The GTI bolts have also been known to seize.

I just tighten them by hand with one push on the wrench.

Yeah I had a job getting them off!
I tightened them to 90nm which felt about as tight as I normally do them.
Thanks for the advice.

It'd be worth asking VW what the correct settings are though, just to be sure. There was a recent article in Auto Expres where they took a car round about 20 garages to see if they would tighten the wheels properly after a balancing and alignment check, and only 3 garages got close! Worrying stuff.
