Hi all,

Just wondered if anybody here has used Rain X or any of the other water repelants on their windscreen.... All i want to know is roughly how long it lasts before it starts needing re-applying.

Cheers

Dave.

I use it all the time, got it on all windows, mirrors and lights.

Fantastic stuff. i only ever use my wipers on intermittent-even in really heavy rain. 8)

Oops, forgot your question.

I apply it probably once a month to the windscreen, possibly a bit more often in winter as the weather is worse. Other than that other windows don't require it very often at all.

Hope that helps.

I have RainX and use it every month or so.

Nice thing about this is that when you're on the motorway doing 70(ish), the rain skims off the windscreen and you never hardly have to use the wipers!

Agree with all the above - used once a month on front and rear screen and once every 6 months on side windows, mirrors and lights

There is one downside - dewy mornings - ie just a smidgen of damp on the front screen - you flick the wipers and it smears like fluck - it OK after a few secs but it irritates the t*ts of me

Thanks for the input guys.....

One other thing..... Does a bottle just do one application or do you get a few applications with the bottle??

Sorry to be a pain.....

Cheers

Dave.

You should get loads of applications out of one bottle. Should last you a long time

Yep but normally only on the first application - apply less - rub over with wet T-towel and then dry to a shine with kitchen roll

I've used it before and think its good, but the first time i used it on the polo i got quite a bit of wiper judder :(

and its easy to get distracted watching the rain drops running up the screen instead of watching the road!
