the two chips alter your engines performance in different ways, so at the prices they are, get one of each and see which you prefer.....

..... as they say they're "cheap as chips"

I do have a couple of different GT maps now my original one was very mild and better top end my newr map which runs more ignition advance is much better overall with more torque and power, I have to get one out to optima so he can see the difference.

I do have all MK3 chips now, and I am acting as a modem dealer for a German chap who has access to over 10000 difeerent ECU's so I can pretty much do anything.

sounds interesting Alan, I'll be going to the rolling road day at Aldon if you are, and by then I should have my ram air induction set up, together with golf AFM and flowed throttle body and elbow, which are all possible to do at very little expense and no machining.....

.... and i was reading about ram air intakes today and looking at some testing done on motorbikes and at 70mph you can expect a positive pressure in the airbox (as opposed to vacuum) that can give you a couple of bhp over standard and will cause top end power to tail off less once peak bhp has been reached.......

... and if you get to 150 mph (yeah right) you can get 0.5 psi of pressure and expect to get another 8 bhp.

yeah I'll have to get my GT sorted and the VC-200 performance meter plugged in to do some testing soon.
