cruise control fitted today

hey everyone! got cruise control fitted today at my dealer. it was their first time on a polo so it took them a whole day, but it works perfectly, even going uphill or downhill. they changed the indicator stalk and added a few cables, and charged two hours labor. just to let you know

Good man!
Cruise is a great tool for motorway (highway/autobahn) driving. It makes the whole journey a lot more relaxed.

you can even increase / decrease your speed by pressing the + or the - on the indicator stalk. sometimes it feels weird though, like a video game
nonetheless it's a cool gadget to play with and good for highway driving

parts were 70 poundish, which would be almost the same here and there. plus 2 hours of labor (which would cost more than the parts over there i guess
)
it works perfectly but no light comes on the dash when its activated. no need for it actually, it feels "abnormal" enough to keep the speed steady without your foot on the pedal, so you know cruise is on

because cruise control is not an option for polos (at least in Turkey). either way its nearly always cheaper to fit stuff later than to order it from the factory

I did really wanted that so called "on-board" computer thingy when I ordered my car. Can't do it now can i?

on board comp doesnt do much......
cruise control is a £185 factory option...only on SE models and above.
talking about factory options... colour pack for £80 and front fogs for £170 is a bargin... given that colour pack can cost up to around£300 aftermarket insome garages and about £150 for just the fogs/relays and not fitting!....

Funny you should say that 'cos that's precisely the two options I went for - the fog lights and colour pack.

Wondering off subject i kno but i'll agree with the fog lights. Sadly i didn't get them as option, i bought them for £150. Pain in the A*** to wire, would have been even worse if it wasn't for Mole's instructions.
However from doing that i have gained electronic and wiring knowledge.
Another not, the W8 interior light is also a pain in the A***.

Oh I see. Beautiful. Doubt I'll have the money, time, effort to fit those in. Sure does look cool though.
That spoiler is doing his job - being a "downforce" spoiler. REally does work. Lovin' it
