never been in one either! but from what they say.... 190bhp can be had... and more! And if you stripped it - 700kg? who knows! sounds like a recipe for fun

there have been one or two for sale on here - and every now and then there's a damaged one for sale on ebay... there was one that went for 800 quid that needed a new front... ideal for you

Ive got a G40 track day car.
Yes its worth it, yes it is lots of fun, its usually the fastest thing out on track too!
Mind you we have prepped mine alot. Its fully seam and stitch welded, stripped out, full rollcage, seat, harnesses etc, KW coilovers, bracing, cornerweighted, mad bonkers engine, etc etc etc. Still plenty to do, but im going hardcore on it, i.e wishbone setup, LSD, ET20 wheels for wider track and more rubber down. Keep it on 13" wheels too!
For a fun track day car, get some koni/eibach suspension, decent tyres, raicam brake pads and racing brake fluid (motul RBF600 highly recc.) and a 4 point harness, helmet, chip and pulley it or something for 150bhp. Easy as! And Cheap!

What about the brakes though aren't they shocking, if you are keeping 13s you won't be able to put bigger brakes on will you?

My brakes are awesome mate! Try them to believe them!!!!
Current setup is 239mm vented standard Vag Discs, Raicam brake pads (available from Pitstop Developments), braided hoses, Motul RBF600F brake fluid. Its the pads and fluid that does the business.
Another method is to ditch the servo and convert to tilton twin master cylinders. These are also an awesome setup. All proven aswell!!!!!!
Ive decided to go to 14*7 ET20 wheels due to tyre availablility on a 13" rim, but even if I had a 13" rim. Yes, you can fit a hi-spec 260mm 114-4 caliper 4pot setup underneath 13's, but not the G40 BBS wheels though since they have a tapered inside. Compomotive CXR's are best to use!
Im going for 4pots but currently undecided on disc size as yet, waiting for the wheels to arrive first before measurements can be done.
Trust me my son, I know what im on about!!!!! My G is very hardcore!
