Hi all. I created an 8 minute video clip early hours of Sunday morning with me 'flogging' the guts out of my 1.3cl, lol.
If anyone is interested in seeing this, then all i ask for is...
around 125MB of webspace free so it can be hosted, & then you lot can download it @ your leisure

125mb for 8 minutes is silly for putting stuff on the internet!

have you considered re-encoding it?

for sharing stuff online 10mb/minute is an absolute maximum (videoCD quality - 352x288 MPG) -- you should be able to at least half that using DivX, in higher rez than plain MPG would offer.
Dropping it to the VCD resolution or a perfectly acceptable 320x240 should enable still more drastic megabyte savings.

24mb all in is just-about plausible... maybe. with 22khz mono sound.



if you wanna try some kind of gonzo msn file transfer or the like (or using DCC on an IRC chatroom) i could see if i could shrink it for you and send it on back..

You're welcome to use my webspace.. but I'd suggest compressing it to a size where people are actually willing to download it.. certainly 30mb or less, I'd suggest more in the region of 15, particularly if you want any non-broadband users to watch it, that'd take about 7 hours to download as it is! I'll pm you the login details for my ftp server though, stick it up there when you're done with it and we'll take a look

It's currently 125MB coz i wanted to retain the DV resolution / quality

PS... The positioning of the camcorder & also the lack of daylight, make it not as good as it could have been, appologies everyone.

whats the password? I also noticed they both have exactly the same file name, so they must be the same file.

unless ones .mpg and ones .avi

Afternoon gents... firstly my applogies for posting two links the same (they are both AVi fles, but one is 125MB & the other is 30MB).

I dont wanna go stepping on GroovyC's toes... so i refrained from giving his password out, untill he decides if both files are staying on his webspace, etc etc...

Hmmm yeah. The video was very dark and nothing seemed to happen!

come on lads. Give the guy a break. He is only in a cl afterall, with no mods apart from suspension and breaks. Also wasnt the best idea doing it in the dark as u cant get a sense of speed only being able to see the dimly lit road ahead. Was a first try i presume. Lets see some 120mph action then from someone flying in a 1L
