Excellent guide. Took me about 35mins to get them all wired up and working. Just gotta make em fit flush by trimming them down a bit.

I really want to do this, but dont have the balls to start sanding and drilling into my car :(

Anyone else finding a slight problem with the bottom right corner of the lights not quite fitting flush by about 5mm this is after sanding down the corners and enlarging the right hand fixing point?

Yes as far as i'm aware it is not possible to get it 100% flush unless you shave off some of the plastic on the thread which screws to the bodywork.

Mine arnt flush, need a bit shaving off the edge. And the centre hole drilling a little bigger. :D

Jus to add:- Make sure that the MK5 Rears have a seal on them like the mk4s do. I never caught this on. Ended up costing me a new central locking pump.

Do the Mk5 lights just have the one reversing light lilke the Mk4 ones?

can anybody help me ??
does anybody know how to swop the wires around in the lugs? i cant seem to get mine out, ive fitted my lights and everything but all i need to do is swop the wires round as described to get them to work, does anyone know how?
id be very grateful for some advice,
