Right then...
First off, I'm a Web Developer/IT Incident Manager/Tech Support Bloke...
I'm 25
My first car was a MK2 (I think) Polo Formel E (I think it was a 1.1?) on a Y plate
2nd came a MK3 Golf Ryder 1.4 on a 93 L
3rd was a 1.4 8v low torque Astra LS on a 95 N (company car)
4th was a 1.6 16v 99bhp Astra GLS on a 96 P (company car)
5th was a MK4 1.4CL Polo on a 99 T
I currently drive a 1.6 16v 125bhp Polo GTi on a 2000 W!
I like the Polo as it is pretty quick, built fairly well and I don't need anything as big as a Golf (yet)
seen as its the off topic forum lets go off topic

Hello, allow me to introduce myself...
But first, I'd like to thank Josh for setting this forum up - cheers!
What do I do for a living?
I'm a researcher. My specialism is "value" and its application to the way that people feel about the buildings they live and work in. That's kind of why the VW brand is so important to me - it's all about how people relate to products in the experience economy.
How did "get into" my Polo?
My car history is short:
First there was a Fiat Uno 45 "Formula" - oh how I revelled in its throbing 903cc, 43hp, pushrod powerhouse...
Then, there was a Fiat Punto 55S which, suprisingly, lasted about 5 years.
Then came the Polo, so I'm "into it" because it's my first "real" car.
Deek.

All right then...
[Big up to Josh for letting me moderate the Mk4 forum and to Polo2K for hooking me up!]
I'm 24 years old, still a student at the Erasmus University here in Rotterdam so that means I'm basically unemployed.
Previous ladies were a '94 Renault Twingo (awful), a '93 Alfa Romeo 1.7 8v (lovely car that, until I totalled it) and after that the ultimate grandfathers car; a '96 Toyota Corolla Sedan, 1.6 with auto tranny. In gray. Yes that's right, I drove that car for a year, until I was able to use my left leg again. As soon as I felt confident about that I bought the Polo, a 1.6 '97 with every option bar leather. I'll never want anything outside the VAG group again! Well, a Porsche would do.

It was a complete nightmare. Glad we sold it! I think it was a 1.3 though, the same engine the Renault 4 had since 1932. Didn't get us anywhere, unreliable, unsafe and dead slow...polo2k wrote:omg speedy hahahahahahaha you had to drive a twingo please tell me it wasent the oh so mighty 1.2L really though have you recovered from parked cars over taking you
