Sideskirts / sills??

Little help needed, on the UK GTis, are there add on sideskirts, or are they a welded part? I've decided to make the jump and slowly work mine up to uk spec (aircon is going to be a challenge), and the sills seem to be different on mine. Does anyone have a photo of how they are supposed to look, so I can compare mine?

I haven't got a picture to hand mate, but cripes, aircon is a big expensive job to do!

Neh, i'm gonna take an axe to a crashed one and hack all the bits I need out of it
- might be getting a mk1 golf to restore next summer, so i'll run about in that while I fit the aircon to the GTi.
When the weather is better i'm gonna find one in a scrappy and have a look how much is involved in getting the bits out.. hopefully the haynes manual will be out by then
If it's stupidly hard I won't bother...

Yeah, nice one mate - One of the last ones where the car's filthy was perfect..
Just gotta get my car in the light so i can compare them now!

Iirc you can't modify a non-GTI with those GTI sills, I'm sure there was a posting on the VAG-parts section a while back where someone enquired about a set and the reply was not great news...too late and tired to look..sorry guys!
