I saw this auction on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 87164&rd=1

Contacted them direct and arranged to buy a set. Sent £80 by paypal. The last email I received said they had received the money and the lights were on the way from germany. They aren't answering any of my emails now, they've had the money since 6th Oct and I've no lights!

Does anydoby know either gemma_d_mahony or nicolas gingell????

I would like to know what has happened to my money or my lights. :( :(

First - please don't take offence

You sent £80 by pay pal

Auction was won with a bid of £122 plus £30 Postage and packing

If I was a seller I'd be a bit hesitant to send anything out without payment in full.......

Ahhhh penny might have droped here

- you saw the auction (already finnished)

- and then contacted them about buying another set

- they offered a set for £80 which you paid by Pay pal

So it was outside of ebay so they (ebay) won't give a rats about you

Paypal I think may assist but I've never needed to use their claim money back facility and as it's and ebay company I don't know if they will help

I'd suggest Paypal help page would be my first port of call - payment made to XXXX no goods received -dam sure they have time limit on any claim so you may have left it too late

In accordance with PayPal's User Agreement, we encourage claims for delayed or undelivered items to be filed no later than 30 days from the date of payment. Only one claim may be filed per PayPal transaction. PayPal will seek to resolve the claim within 30 days of the date the claim is filed, though such time frame may be extended, if appropriate, to accommodate our investigation.

funny that they say that when the usual statutory thing thats said is along the lines of "please allow 28 days for delivery"....!!!

60 would be fairer, to allow the seller some benefit of doubt, no? i've had things delayed almost a month before but they've then turned up with profuse apology.

(suppose that questions a bit rhetorical unless someone from paypal is reading)

i am wondering whether some kind of fraud squad might be able to get involved here, or you could contact ebay mentioning to them that they have a dishonest seller - they're willing to rip you off so it may not be too hard to do it to anyone else including ebayers...

BTW It is awful bad luck but at the end of the day you took a chance on buying from someone with a "bare minimum" ebay rating (of 5 - ALL of them for purchasing not selling, and 4 of them being in a single months period between late sept/late oct) - alarm bells, that stuff is :( :(.
as is that chavved up but still oddly alluring polo :)

You can't leave feedback for anyone buying outside of ebay
