What's this?

Today whilst washing the car, I took off the left bottom grille bit and found this - would I be correct in assuming that this is the outside temperature sensor? - if not, what is it?
I think you're correct, that's the temp. sensor.
Take a look at vwpower's thread, 'Sensor and Glove Box Question', looks like you both took pictures of the same sensor.
