Does anyone know if there is away of connecting speakers directly to the ps2? Are there any output on the ps2 for this to work? Or is there some device you van buy?

yeha you can buy a surround sound system from most games retailers, and iirc they connect througuh the optical port on the back

If Its for the car, Check if your H/U has a Aux on it, and plug it into there.
Whne i had the Pioneer i has to buy a seperate part to allow things to be plugged into the Aux but with the Clarion its straight in with 2 phono's

Basicly what it is, if I was playing a music cd in the ps2 would i be able to hear it through my speakers? Is there anyway that I would beable to connect them up?

I haven't looked at mine properly yet to see if audio can be directly connected, but at the moment it's plugged into the TV via scart, then the TV is plugged into my stereo, therefore decent speakers. I know the PS1 could play audio CDs, so theres no reason why the PS2 can't do it?
