thats awesome.......

the three winners were

3. the poor, lonely goldfish in it's completely void bowl in some office somewhere. look at it gulp.
2. the japanese kids primary school. the teacher appeared to alternate playing the piano and surfing for tentacle porn whilst the children created merry, amusing chaos around her(?). very high motion, extra points for inexplicable quilt made up of colourful sleeping bags covering half the floor... one for each kid...
1. the bunny. top marks as i managed interaction. woke it up from a dream of burrowing thru hay by jiggling the camera, and then it followed the device's motions, in a kid of satellite-uplink-2-second-delay fashion. coooool.
(kids school would have won if anyone had noticed me flinging the cam violently back&forth after discovering where the presets went to ;)

but how do you carry out the mentioned search for other peoples printers?

printers i dunno, perhaps some printers use a global ip and run a webserver on themselves

our laser printer at work runs a web interface but not on a global ip

some of the funnyiest stuff to come from that link is where people have moved the cam to watch people trying to work out why the cam has a life of its own lol

like the one where the motor noise attracted the attention of the people working on the pc.... they log into it... only to find it's not aimed out the window any more... but it's watching THEM - "fixed" by them turning it physically around and jamming something heavy in the way, but oops.. you can still see them in a mirrors reflection, continuing to freak out

dunno bout you but i'd be crapping myself - "how long's THAT been pointing this way?!?"

gonna have to pretend it doesnt exist now, though, otherwise i'll never leave the room again...
