Yes, I've done it again. Though this one may be more suitable for the 'sad old gits' forum :?

I found this while browsing ETKA at work, though I've managed to find a pic for you...

If you can't see what the difference is its actually the small tray at the top of the dashboard. NO, it hasn't gone completely. You can actually buy it with a lid to hide your goodies from prying eyes. This will be handy for me as i'm a man who likes his music so another good place to hide my CD's :P

Yes...I know, its sad. But how many Polos have you seen with one?? :D

Retail price is £21.00 + VAT. I might add its the WHOLE tray, so its all you will need.

nice one.

Oh, and apparently if you have climatic air con you can swap out the front panel for the climatronic. Might be worth seeing how much that would cost.

James.

This lidded space is standard in the Polo Sedan, I just didn't know you could actually buy one and fit it to your hatchback.

This could be useful, or could be just another rattle source...

One nice little thing I found out while waiting for the parts to de-lock my 9N (BTW to de-lock you only need a couple of VERY cheap parts and some time, will post later):

Image
Sunglass holder

I found this while poking around at a Bora lying in the showroom. It's the sunglass holder that comes standard in Golfs and Boras but can also be fitted to your Polo. You replace the (useless) pull-out handle above the driver window with this.

My VW garage didn't have any in stock but these should be cheap too.

Nice details...

Hi Ruthless

I have one of these holders already, it is very useful and cost about £12 GBP

Cool Josh!

I'm ringing VW garages to try and find this holder somewhere! Would you have the part no. by any chance?

Thanks for the pic, much better. I wouldn't have thought it would be more rattle problems as the rattles seem to actually be underneath were the heater vents are. I'm gonna remove my tray next week and see where this rattle is coming from (seeing as my VW dealership is so incapable of doing it  )
