no you dont need the carriers the GT ones will be fine as I'm using G40 calipers and GT carriers, but you'll probably be better off if you get the g40 slider bolts

just picked them up, need a good clean and service and give them a paint up. got good pads but discs aint much good, anyone used those grooved discs from euro car parts £29.96 and not classed as a modification.

don't bother with grooved discs, you wont really benefit from them. I would just get standard brembo vented discs from gsf with pagid pads or similar.

yeh i was lookin at prices, i think its gunna have to be standard discs, the pagid fast road pads are quite good value though.
the calipers did have braided hoses on but the **** at the breakers cut them, so il have to have standard ones now.

Hmm, surely whilst you're at it you may as well get some new braided hoses?? Extra expense I know - but may as well do it now!!
*Oh - boo to the breakers for cutting them!!
