Do any of you use a specific type of washer fluid.
My reservoir (sp) is empty and didn't know if some stuff will be to thick to squirt through the fine jets.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I just use Halfords stuff which works fine. Not tried anything else, so can't really compare it with anything.
I seem to be forever topping that washer bottle up with this weather!

I checked in the handbook when I first got the car - it recommends the VW washer fluid for fine jets, there is a part number for it. Anyway, if you go to your local parts dept and ask for washer fluid for fine washer nozzles, they'll know which one it is. Cost about £3.50 for a litre bottle.
I'm currently using a concentration of about 2/5s fluid to 3/5s water IIRC. There's a guide on the back of the bottle for dilution.

I just have water in mine
It ran out the other day on the way to work and I could hardly see out. I filled it up using the hose pipe.

I use Halfrauds stuff... at Christmas they had a deal on: 3 for 2 - so I got 3 x 5 litre bottles for the price of 2 for £9.99 - see me thru winter and summer! I dilute about 60/40 in cold weather - it comes out green on the screen like pond water, but certainly clears the crap off the screen and doesn't create glare when a car comes at you at night, like some screen wash I've had before.
