I think Young_un can get things polished for you - certainly his sig says to ask him about polishing, so I assume he can

I think I am going to try and polish it myself by taking it back to bare metal then sanding and polishing it with abrassive paste and then spraying it with high temperature laquer. Cheers any way G.C
Nick, what else you done on your car?
I finally got the middle bit so I have a complete ashely straight through exhaust. I am gona get a weber as well next month along with performance HT leads and if I redo the piston rings I am gona have the head ported and polished. I was thinking of getting a gt but I dont know yet, I think I like my car far to much now plus I value my health:lol:
PIcs are coming soon just waiting to get the MOT sorted so I can take it some place nice to photograph it.

It's just like the one above which revis polished, except just the raised bits on the top are polished. You could polish the rest of it pretty easy.

Slightly off topic question I know, but what happens to the crank case / rocker cover breather when you have one of those alloy covers? There's no attachment for the pipe.. is it just not necessary?

Does anyone know the type of metal the early cast rockercovers are made out of? [like the one above], ive got one but have to have a breather pipe welded to it. Do you think I could run a breather through the oil cap?
Cheers Tom

Why do you need the breather welded on, surely they work fine without it on the rocker?
