Re: Polo 6R/6C Photo Gallery

I wondered if they were 18’s. They are light! My current original 17’s weigh 12.4kg each! Have you found the handling any different? What tyre size did you use? Do you also have coilovers?

Then your car does have OPS.

Do you have a VCDS auto scan with the current configuration of your car?

There you can see if the ops module you have, support front parking sensors.

Re: Front parking sensors

Does your factory radio show parking lines like the ones shown here? https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-do-yourself/188349-diy-installing-ops-optical-parking-system-vw-polo-vento.html Like in the first one yes. I found one review of the seller of the kit on Ali Express and it wasn't good. They said...

Re: Front parking sensors

Have you checked aliexpress? Sent from my MI 5 using Tapatalk Good shout! They have a front one and although I don't need it, it looks like the parking control module is Valeo. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32980339005.html?spm=a2g0s.8937460.0.0.3d9a2e0euM4HGV But is says: "This kit is only for...

Re: Front parking sensors

Actually I was getting the car systems page mixed up with the ones that Vagtec do. They do a front and rear kit for £392 plus separate front and separate rear, but annoyingly one of them isn't half the price of the kit that does both! https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=11&...

Re: Front parking sensors

Actually their price for the front and rear parking sensor kit is pretty good, but I don't really want to buy all that as I already have the rear fitted as standard, and as mentioned have the 8 channel comntrol unit and buzzer. Might see if they can do just what I need otherwise I'm wasting money bu...

Re: Front parking sensors

Typically, cars fitted at initial build, with only rear parking sensors will have a 4 channel parking controller fitted, to retrofit front sensors, you would need to replace that with an 8 channel parking controller, front sensor group warning buzzer and some new cable forms, probably 2, one for th...

Front parking sensors

Does anyone know if the rear parking sensor set & loom will also fit the front? I would have thought most at least would be the same apart from maybe the length of the loom or sections of it? Would it be possible to fit it or would I need the specific front one (as the rears are much easier to find)?

Re: Polo BlueGT front brake upgrade

Interesting! Something that I'll maybe do after getting a re-map. I've just fitted new Brembo max coated discs with black diamond pads all round, so won't be for a while yet! I can't be sure, but going by other VW Models, I'm pretty sure you'd only need the different carriers and bigger backing plat...

Re: VW Sat nav headunits

Am not quite so keen on using my phone as it will use data, what if it can't find a good internet signal? plus then it's also tricky if you have any phonecalls. Would prefer a unit with DAB as I have it now. I have seen aftermarket units I think from China, but how well they work and how the sounds ...

VW Sat nav headunits

Can anyone give me a bit of info about VW Sat nav headunits? I currently have an RCD510 headunit which socket for accessories in the glovebox and a multi-function steering wheel on my 2013 Blue GT. I have a 3 1/2 year old Tomtom Go5100 which directs you around traffic and works out shorter routes as...

Re: Which alloys to get? Stuck, confused. Help!

search on ebay for Polo wheels, then in the settings, select 5x100 and then select which size you are looking for-15", 16" and 17". Also try selecting Volkswagen/VW for the brand and see if you like any, or BBS is another good one. Or just leave it open to see all brands. Obviously remember you'll n...
