Re: Vw up-end of the Polo?

I personally think the Up! is the logical replacement to the Lupo and Fox.

The Polo seems more refined and larger car for a different market.

You'd take the Up! into town to go shopping... You'd use the Polo as a small family car.

Better to have a mint standard car ...

Re: new member restrictions

Not many posts are needed before the restrictions are listed.

We've had a hell of a time with spam, and this is the only way round it I'm afraid.

Re: "Lip on the disc or pad"

I think. . .after months of deliberation . . .I'm going to get it done for £123 lol. I've been warned off Kiwk Fit!! Do Volkswagen official service folk ever do little deals? For example. . .during my MOT they saw my rear wiper wasn't spraying cleaning fluid and it was leaking out the bottom. . .do...

Re: £400 for shocks and spring/coil overs?

My opinion is that it depends how many miles a year you drive and whether you want to do track days or not. I've had £250 German eBay coilovers on my car for about 4 years and they're fine (although I'm not sure I'd want to attempt to adjust them now). But I've probably only done 30k miles in that t...

Wow wow wow wow wow! Sorry to break up the party, but the ONLY income that this forum gets in order to keep it running is via the sale of genuine UK-POLOS.NET stickers. I don't have banner adverts, no one donates any more... To help pay for the domain name and server hosting, people buy forum sticke...

Re: Deciding on a clutch kit (PD130)

Unless you're going to get a hybrid turbo or inject some gas in the future, you are unlikely to have more than 300-320 lbft, so I'd personally get the dual-mass version for comfort.
