Hi, have anybody experienced problems with turbocharger?
I have a manual version but just around 40 kms after apr remap my turbo has blown. Only a stage 1.
There is also another italian guy with a DSG and stage 2 and turbo has gone only 300 kms after tune....
I can't feel safe and don't understand ...

Just wondering how Rob is getting on with the APR remap that was fitted by VRS. How is the car?

Sorry only just seen your reply, been away. It has been great, done about 4K miles with the remap now, been trouble free. Car has done 11k now in about 4 months.

I think it's got better as I have drove it more since the remap. I'd be tempted to get it RR'd again soon, I think you may see that claimed figure! I'd say mine has gained power since perhaps the ecu adjusts a bit

Torque is higher than the claims, power a little down. How many miles has it done and what fuel did it have in?

I think the hp difference is good but tbh here is prob even more gain where power fades off stock, it holds out with the remap

Map is on - feels a lot better now!

Pulls harder for sure, took a few miles to really feel it but definitely feels stronger. 5th feels like 4th. Traction aside it feels pretty close to the golf r when it is standard for pulling power, not off the line of course because the traction is not too good ...

Car is in right now having the remap applied, fingers crossed this time for success!

It will be one that APR have suggested (Scorpion I believe, I had a full Ti system of theirs before and I liked it)

I only use 98 ron

Getting it applied Saturday now - they have 003 it seems.

Hopefully stage 2-3 etc have same problems as that is what I want!

This is my every day driver so hopefully something will come soon, before I replace!

It could not be done sadly, as my ECU is a later type than APR have released the map for. APR have been notified, so I can go back and get it applied - hopefully soon!

I am having it done at VRS, am sat here waiting for it to be done right now
