I recently got some replacement bush rod selectors from AutoDoc in Germany. Only cost a few pounds so I recommend you try there.
You put your registration number in the search options and it will find the correct part for you.
I got 2 bearing bushies for the shift rod for just under a fiver....

Brake Booster Hose Connector
Hi Everyone, I'm replacing a brake booster hose to my 6n2 Diesel Polo and the round connector ( brake servo pump) is gently moving in and out ever so slightly, and will twist round if I twiddle it. So there's 'play' in the connector to the brake servo pump. Is there suppose to be 'play' in this conn...

Re: Quick Question
Yes water jets work and I don't have a sunroof installed. I've removed the battery and have examined the pipe more closely. It's not a pipe but a thick power cable. I've enclosed 2 more pictures. The power cable has writing on it which says 'Power cable OFC' This disappears into the bulkhead as sho...

Quick Question
Hi,
I just did some maintenance around the battery and this little pipe has appeared.
It goes into the bulkhead but I'm not sure where its supposed to connect to?
Any ideas please?
Cheers...

Re: New Headlights, Old Level Motor reinstall Problem
These are after market, not original unfortunately.
Fully compatible though.
I'm at a loss to how to remove this in order to fit the level motor.

New Headlights, Old Level Motor reinstall Problem
Hi, Have just received my new replacement headlights for my 6n2 Polo but have hit a snag. There is a white plastic 'Spacer' in the slot where I need to fit my old level motor. Its white plastic and I can't twist or pull it out without the fear of breaking the black plastic surround. I've enclosed a ...

Replacing Headlights Help
Hi, Have been searching through the forum and Google and I'm a little stuck for advice. I need to replace the headlights but my Haynes Manual doesn't seem to cover the 6n2. There's nothing on YouTube to help. I'm guessing the front bumper needs to removed or partially removed. Ideally I'd like to pa...

Oil Pressure Switch
Hi Guys, My oil pressure switch needs replacing and I’m struggling to find the correct part number. Also do I need to drain the oil before refitting the switch? My Haynes manual has nothing on this so I’m a little stumped... Cheers https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200117/d4ae3b819687e18ecd0057b2e4...

Main Beam failure
Hi guys, I’m really stuck :( My main beam on my 96 polo has failed. Fuses and bulbs are good. If I pull back on the stick, my high beam works. Side lights work although they don’t brighten when the ignition is switched on. Is this a relay fault? If so, which relay do I need to replace please as Hayn...

Re: Motorisation code ?
You mean engine code? Itll be on the cambelt cover, or on a label in the boot If you have the service book for the car, its on a label on the first page. Thanks for that Alex. I’ve included the label from the service book but I’m unsure where it is... Regards Dave https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2...

Motorisation code ?
Hi, I’m trying to find the motorisation code for my 1996 Polo.
It’s 2 or 3 characters and should be in the engine block or in the spare wheel compartment but I can’t find it anywhere?
Any ideas please regards Dave
