Re: New GTI + delivery

Did you order any extras?
I'm wondering if they have churned out some stock orders before dealing with customised models.
I ordered a standard gti+ in July last year and took ownership about 3 weeks ago.

Re: Saw my first new GTi on the road yesterday

Just come to play football at my regular spot and I've ended up parked next to a white one.
I notice a couple of features that tell me it is not a plus.
Not seen one since getting mine.
Only saw a couple before that too.

Re: Creaking from Dashboard?

I mentioned this in another post which was a thanks to someone for having already identified where a buzz might be coming from. Seemed odd to me at the time but the sound reverberates off of the screen I think which gives the impression that it must be a dash panel. If you twiddle the handbrake butt...

Re: Creaking from Dashboard?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem to me in their Polo? I have a really annoying creaking noise coming from the passenger side dashboard (see video here, which was taken on a relatively good day! https://vimeo.com/339051362) It seems to be at its worst when I drive it in th...

Re: Polo GTI manual?

I'm quite enjoying the DSG. I do understand the engamenet side of a manual in such a beefy car though. I love driving but having developed knee problems over the years, removing even the use of clutch and how I can adjust my seating position because of that is going to make the longer journeys much ...

Re: Polo GTI manual?

So does that mean if anybody gets one, it will be something of a rarity and possibly worth preserving or maybe even garaging?

Re: Sensor and ACC

Yes, it will be the same roadworks. Thanks for the heads up on the barriers and sensor. I started paying attention to what could be causing it and thought it might have had something to do with large lorries in the lane outside of me as I spotted the car in my display pop out for a while one went pa...

Sensor and ACC

I mentioned a sensor warning recently which thankfully hasn't popped up again but today I was heading for work in a section of motorway that is down to 50mph for miles... yawn.... and I noticed myself catching up quite quickly with the vehicle in front. My ACC display looked as it does when it is on...

Re: GTI DSG shudder in second

Had my Polo GTI + for just over a month and has done 1100 miles only. Had the previous GTI in Manual and never had any issues in the 4 years I owned it. From new it has had a terrible rattling noise from the handbrake so booked it in to be rectified. I also told them about juddering at low speed an...

Can't see pinky myself.
Very red, yes.

Re: 'Breaking In' new car/engine

Eco mode will give you the least throttle response as it is aiming to get you up to speed as economically as possible. It's not so bad but I suppose it depends what you were used to driving before. My last car was a 1.2 tsi that really didn't have any poke at all so even Eco mode in this car feel a ...

Re: New GTI + delivery

So I picked mine up tonight about 7pm ... Went for a drive to nowhere and put about 100 miles on her, do not regret the 8 month wait at all! I have shops across the street that supply general items that I could buy from them but I take a massive detour around the entire town, through it a...

Re: 'Breaking In' new car/engine

This is my basic understanding and I am probably at the same level of understanding with cars as you compared to others in here. Engine braking is using the gears to slow you down. Eco mode in DSG lets you freewheel which is the equivalent to dropping to neutral in a manual box and then using your b...
