The SS didnt kick in once today though so maybe the battery was a bit low? Not had any warning lights so maybe like you say a random ma...

Stop Start Issue
Hi, Can anyone offer advice on below? When driving to work today as is quite normal in the cold weather the stop start didn't kick in. However after about a 30 min commute not stop start traffic at a set off lights the engine cut out. However when the lights went green and I pressed the clutch down ...

Re: Tight gearbox
I am glad to say that it did make a difference. I would say say it is 95% effective and my problems are thankfully in the past.
Just the occasional time it needs a shove in and feels to get stuck from 3rd to 4th but happy with it.
How long have you had the car and is it under warranty?

Re: Tyre pressures
I have 215/45/R16 tyres on my 1.2 TSI and listed on various sites it states 28psi all round.
The tyres do look like they need more air in though TBH but usually just me and the Mrs in the car so feels ok.
Who knows best?

Euro Car Parts sell the 1ltr bottle and you can get for half price regularly when on offer. That's what I am getting after just having my service done.

Thanks for the replies guys much appreciated.
Sorry it should be 11000 miles not km. I might ask them to change over to annual servicing then and use 504 as this seems to be the way to go.

Cheers for reply wolfie. Probably best to trust the garage. I will just make sure they tell me if they change anything.

Which Engine Oil?
This probably seems like a really dumb question but here goes. My car is a 1.2 TSI 2016 14800k. It is booked in for service next week. My service book states it had long life oil at the 1st service 2000k and 2nd service 3900k. The previous owner had only covered 6k in the first 2.5 years but I have ...

Re: Flexible servicing
Phoned the garage today to book in for service and they said that the car will notify me when the service inspection / oil change is due. I said that it had last been serviced 17 months and 11k miles ago. He was surprised by this and said he would expect it to come on imminently. I decided to book i...

Re: Flexible servicing
Thanks for the feedback RUM4MO. I have always serviced my vehicles annually or per set mileage so cannot understand these flexible options. Think I will book it shortly then. Cheers

Flexible servicing
Just seeing if anyone can advise on the following please. I believe my car is a 6c and was told by the dealership that it is on flexible service intervals. They have now told me it should be done every year. It was serviced at 05/2017 on 2039 miles then 05/2018 on 3849 miles . They originally said i...

Re: Tight gearbox
Well glad to get my car back after 2 weeks. I got a comprehensive video message from the technician explaining what had been done. So basically there was a TPI for this issue which involves pressing the clutch half way and fully 50 times and the findings documented. It passed this test previously an...

Re: Tight gearbox
Cheers, was Trying to see if anyone knew what was involved with the repair? Like getting blood from a stone from the dealership. From what I have seen online it is basically realigning the gears inside the box so they move freely. Hopefully this will fix the reverse gear and make 1st gear better as ...
