Re: GPF status with OBDEleven scanner?
Most of the time the dealer will know the car best and have sophisticated technology and computers to dial into your car and read data that many OBD scanners can’t read. If they said that the GPF was blocked and the motorway drive would not have cleared it, that would seem very odd because if it was...

Re: well I'm shocked! customer service
It sounds like you had an interesting experience with your high idling Polo! It's great to hear that the Volkswagen garage was able to help you out and even do some additional work under warranty. Regarding the GPF blockage, it's not always easy to identify the cause of these issues, so it's underst...

Re: Hit massive pothole and no obvious damage
Oh dear sorry to hear about the bad experience you have had! Got mine checked and they said nothing to worry about everything is fine and the steering wheel is slightly to the left because of the road camber. So all good.

Re: Hit massive pothole and no obvious damage
Considering the sound of the impact and feel I decided to book it in for an alignment check and for them to double check everything. I’ve been driving 10 years and don’t think I’ve ever had one that bad before. I couldn’t see any sign of damage on the tire - no bulges, scraped or tears. Is a good ye...

Hit massive pothole and no obvious damage
It just a testament to how strong the car is! I was driving at 30 ish mph and my front right tire made the most brutal blow and judder from a pothole! As I hit the pothole on the driver's side, the impact was powerful and jarring, far greater than I had anticipated any impact at 30mph to be. Despite...

Re: Squeak at slow speed
If you could post a video of the sound that would be very useful. It could be something to do with the CV boots being compressed, but i would assume it’s to do with the brake disks rubbing when it’s in full lock as they can warp slightly as I was told from a main dealer. Having a video of the sound ...

I just took a reading including my Rev counter so you can see my usual idle and when revving to 1.5k

Re: what is your TP_B value on your 2018-22 1.0 TS1
There is one thing I notice on your reading, the TAC measurement unit is at 4.7, and on mine the same looks to be around 2 at idle, and when I revved mine to around 1.5k revs, my Throttle Valve Positon moved up to 4.5% and this number is similar to your TAC measurement unit, and your revs are around...

Re: what is your TP_B value on your 2018-22 1.0 TS1
As you can see this is with my engine at just under 1000 revs, looks like 950 is my usual RPM and the results are with my foot of the pedal just idling with a warm engine.

Re: what is your TP_B value on your 2018-22 1.0 TS1
That could explain your idle Rev being high, as it looks like your car thinks the pedal is depressed 17% all the time when you foot isn’t on the pedal. The fact that it drops to 11% when you touch it indicates to me the sensor is bad. I will do a scan on mine tonight and post the result of what mine...

Re: Diagnose this noise?
I couldn’t seem to get the noise that I have heard in the past when driving slow speed to record it but I do hear the noise when I manually change gear down with the paddle shifters and I hear the gears engage. Such as changing from 5-4 and 4-3 etc. The best way to describe it is it’s similar to the...

Re: Diagnose this noise?
I thought my car did make the noise mentioned so couldn’t do the video. I think unless you can get a video of the issue it would be hard for the VW garage to fix it.

Re: Diagnose this noise?
It sounds like the sound of synchromesh linking which better describes the sound, I will make a video of the sound and provide a link to it and if it is the same sound then I wouldn’t worry as if mine does it and yours too then it must be normal. I’ll post the sound later today.

Re: Diagnose this noise?
Is your Polo a DSG automatic? Mine makes a metallic clunk sound when coming to a stop and it’s the mechatronic unit disgusting 2nd gear to 1st gear and then engaging neutral when just about coming to a stop. It could simply be the sound of the gearbox operating.
