Re: Dash strip lights, night time
The section on the passenger side for me was dull and really didn't look great at night. Got the LED replaced under warranty. However as other have noted, this caused a new issue in that the dash then rattled badly Had to go back again to get it fixed. It's never been perfect since In hindsight I wo...

Re: Brand new Polo, Steering is offset
My late 2019 Polo GTI was badly out of alignment on the steering wheel. How it got through the PDI I don't know. I went back same day as collection and they took the steering wheel off and repositioned it on to another spline. This didn't fully fix the problem I then booked it in for full tracking a...

Re: GTI+ Sport Mode (Sound Vibration)
Hi Deano Congrats on the car. That is a known issue with the vibration in sport mode. I think the dealer can adjust the sound actuator The demo model I drove had that issue I had rattles galore which the dealer can't see to fix - One is on the drivers side speaker even at low speeds in normal mode. ...

Re: Help - Polo 2.0 TSI GTI DSG horrible noise from rear
Had the issue from new (October 2019) and took the car back in the first few weeks - pads were removed and greased I believe. Noise stopped but came back with 2 months. I should go back but I was told unless VW release a fix, nothing else can be done Heard some members got offered a software update ...

Re: Honest opinion - anyone else regret buying their GTI?
I've had mine for 10 months and covered only 4k miles as I work from home now. It would have been closer to 8k otherwise Anyhow, didn't love the car at all to start with. A few build issues and warranty work (interior LED strip light failed) along with the common issues like boot not closing properl...

Re: PCP Contracts, Discounts and Salesmen [HELP]
I took my car to someone external (for paint protection) who had it for 2 days. Money well spent. He used to work for the dealers and my salesman actually recommended him I refused some of the extras apart from the service deal I don't think I will keep the car long enough to make the most of them S...

Re: PCP Contracts, Discounts and Salesmen [HELP]
Congrats on the order. I'm in West Yorkshire too I previously had a DSG auto back in 2007 on a SEAT Leon FR The DSG in the Polo is great and a lot smoother than I experienced over 10 years ago. It can take a month or two to get used to it and it does catch me out sometimes at a roundabout (but I put...

Re: Missing screw, fire wall retaining clip & more
My foot brake pedal has some play in it (side to side movement) - do you have this?
I wondered if something is missing from the pedal housing
I haven't raised this with the dealer yet

Re: 215-40-18 or 225-40-18 tyres on Polo GTI
^ if it helps you sleep better at night, by all means tell them, but chances are you'll get a call centre employee who's first language isn't the same as yours, who misunderstands your notification, logs you're changing your wheels for aftermarket ones and applies a premium increase on that basis, ...

Re: Dashboard Plastic Rattles from flex
I am going to try get mine sorted now dealers are re-opening. I am outside of 6 months now so rejecting car will be much harder, although I have emails and proof of the issues that have been present since picking up the car Just hope they can be sorted Rattles only get worse with sports suspension o...

Re: Dashboard Plastic Rattles from flex
I have a number of issues, one caused by the dealer and the others just a result (IMO) of poor fitment and/or quality checks before it left the factory I have an annoying sound (similar to yours) around the passenger air vent. But that was caused as the dealer had to remove the whole dash panel due ...

Re: My Current Experience
I don't think you're in that bad a position - a 6-7 month wait has been the norm for a fresh order until recently. The first car getting sold from under you (if it was ever available) is either unfortunate or sloppy on the part of the salesperson not to get that car grabbed off the system before wh...

Re: My Current Experience
Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your experience. My Polo was already built and during the negotiations, my dealer had put a hold on the car so no one else could buy it. I think that reserve only lasted a couple of hours but was enough time whilst I considered the deal on the table I wonder...
