Re: Michelin PS4's

'D' doesn't stop you flooring it, you don't have to put it into 'S' or the stupid playstation mode to get performance. There weren't many days I wasn't well over three figures on my way home (via private test track) I'd still be doing it now if the Leaf wasn't restricted to 95mph :( No it doesn't s...

3 figures in a stone cold engine on a 3 mile journey home, uphill - I feel sorry for whoever bought that car next!

I thought you never took the GTI out of Drive Andy? 'D' doesn't stop you flooring it, you don't have to put it into 'S' or the stupid playstation mode to get performance. Re: Michelin PS4's

I also got crappy Turanzas on the ID3s. They don't seem quite as bad, Jeez, it's like you experience the total opposite of me with tyres. :D I didn't any experience any lack of grip at all with the Bridgestones on the Polo, I doubt anyone else was pushing them any harder than I did seeing as it was...

Re: Michelin PS4's

If you can burn through a set of rock hard Bridgestones in 8k miles then you must be driving like a nutter. Most will see 20k miles on the fronts. You also talk about "throwing" the car around. If you're flinging the car around, I think you'd find the car a lot more predictable on 4 tyres...

Michelin PS4's

So I went through my front two Bridgestones in 8000 mile - my own fault really. Anyway I've had Michelin PS4's fitted on the front since that's what 90% of people say to get. Well... They are sh*t in my opinion. I'm running 38psi in the front, so I'm open to trying different pressures if anyone else...

Re: LED headlamp retrofit

Did you have to adjust the beam angle at all on either light? Mine are way out and no matter amount how much I try and adjust them they will not align. You see two horizontal lines in front of me where the two beams are out. I actually think the left light adjustment screw part is broken as it does...

Nothing about straight piping isn't 'obnoxious'. End of the day its a 1.0 so will sound like an old fart box Nova.

IMO it will sound sh*t and you will look a c*nt...but thats just me of course

It's certainly looking that way. Andy is the only person to have responded as sticking with 215.

Surely there must be others?
I think that might be because Andy likes to go against the grain

Re: UP GTi

Seen them on the road a few times. I see one regular on my way to work in red. Personally I think it looks hideous and at 115 I would rather just get a 115 Polo, losing loads of room and practicality for what? £250 a month seems mental for what it is. I pay £290pm for my GTI, £180pm on my last 95ps ...

Re: Wanting to upgrade some bits and bobs

Are you not going to drop the back end as well? I always think the back looks worse on all models than the front. There are some pics of R Lines in this post that people have lowered, I think just with springs though, no coil overs: viewtopic.php?t=72876

Re: Polo GTI Stage 1 Remap

S_94 wrote: Sat Jul 17, 2021 10:14 am Been quoted £350 for a Stage 1 from a reputable tuning company. Would get 235bhp / 420nm torque when all said and done.

Just wondering is a DSG remap recommended as well for a Stage 1?
When I was looking everywhere was offering 250ish on a stage 1. Might be worth asking why its lower?
