Hi guys i have a 6N2 GTI and am just wondering the speaker sizes in the front doors and the ones behind the rear quater panels, am in need of an upgrade! cheers.

You havent warped the discs have you? Just a bit of cooking the discs could give you the symptons your describing.

Open up the bonnet and have a look at the top of your gearbox, mines an ARC engine and thats def a cable clutch as i did the clutch on mine a few months back

Is it possible for the pulleys on the end of the camshafts to be put on the wrong way round? Also with the double cam is it possible to get the timing 180 degrees out? if so how? cheers

Ok the timing went lovely no metal to metal contact at all and all the markers line up, now the thing wont start! Ive pulled the plugs out and attached them to the ht leads. Getting no spark what so ever, can smell the fuel going in though, checked the connection to the DIS module, seems fine ...

Had my GTI about a month before my clutch went, got the sachs clutch from euro for a bout 85 quid and fitted it myself, made a world of difference to the driving experience.

Just changed the belts and the tensioners now, ran out of light to finish the job though. The intake, filter and throttle seem fine, a little coked up but have just cleaned it out with a bit of brake cleaner. The breather hose however appears to have disintegrated and gone all squdgey, i know on ...
